Grilled Pork tacos with Wimpy BBQ Rub Crema are tender, easy, have a hints of smoky, sweet and citrus to give you an easy weeknight dinner or small bite sized appetizers for a quick get together!
This recipe for Grilled Pork Tacos with a Wimpy BBQ Rub Crema is another recipe for #CookoutWeek. If you missed my post earlier in the week, be sure and check out the Giveaway for all the things you need for a cookout here. The giveaway also includes a grill! Who doesn’t love a new grill? (There are so many great things from our wonderful sponsors Perfect Pickler, Fungus Among Us, Dr. Praeger’s, Maple Leaf Farm’s, True Made Food’s, Swine Dining and the French Farm.)
The Swine Dining Wimpy BBQ Rub is the star of this recipe. The rub’s from Swine dining are all made in small batches by hand to ensure excellent quality and freshness. They are a new company and I was so excited to try this. Be sure and check out their Facebook page to see about their other rubs too! ( I received this product in exchange for telling you all about it for promotion during cookout week, all opinions are my honest opinion.)
Grilled Pork tacos are so easy… they are dusted with a small amount of the Wimpy BBQ rub. Then you grill the boneless pork chop and serve it with a flavor boosted crema that you have infused with more of the rub and a splash of Citrus. The Swine Dining Wimpy Rub is very mild, slightly sweet and the smokiness of it pairs well with the orange juice infused crema.
Grilled Pork Tacos with Wimpy BBQ Rub Crema Points of Interest:
Easy/Hard: The hardest part of this recipe is slicing the pork chop thinly after grilling. Seriously, its pretty easy.
Prep: The Rub is sprinkled on and the left to sit for just 15 minutes before grilling. It’s best served right after grilling so pork maintains its juicy deliciousness. You can make the crema ahead… but its so easy, I usually just make it while the pork is grilling.
Cocktail Pairing: This would go well with any crisp white wine (Pinot Grigio) or a Rose. The citrus in the pork reminds me of island time… so I served it at our cocktail party with this Tropical Mai Tai!
